The purpose of this presentation is to provide information about the new essentials from AACN.
Objectives:
Outline competency-based education.
Describe the background development of the new Essentials (AACN, 2021).
Recognize domains and concepts in relation to competence.
Differentiate entry-level and advanced-level nursing education in relation to the Essentials Model (AACN, 2021).
